The Old Log Cabin In The Lane
Oh the chimney's fallen down and the roof's all caved in
Lettin' in the sunshine and the rain
And the only friend I've got now is that good old dag of mine
And the little old log cabin in the lane
Oh the trees have all growed up that lead around the hill
The fences have all gone to decay
And the creeks have all dried up where we used to go to mill
And things have changed their course another way

This house was owned by Frank and Maggie (Kotcamp) Warnock for many years and then by their daughter Eunice and her husband James "Toad" Kinner. I remember visiting many times as a child when visiting Greenup and my Grandmother. Thanks for posting it.
ReplyDeleteI remember this house and people from my childhood days(8 to 12. Remember Mr. Kotcamp as I used to watch him load the trucks for delivery from our back yard. I have so many fond memories of those day and the people of Greenup.
