Country Store, Donathon, Lawrence County

  1. This was the store my Grandfather originally opened in 1907. The original store is the part with the gable facing forward. In the 1940's they moved the main store to the stone building on the other side of the driveway. After the store moved, this building was used as a storage building for animal feed. The white building at the far end of the building was a garage and was used to store hay when I was growing up. The store is not in Donathon but at what was called Summit with Griffith Creek and Three Mile Creek being adjacent to the property.
